Kate Martin

Kate originally hails from the Chicago area. Because her mother was a nurse, Kate did not easily trust alternative forms of healing. But, after experiencing some personal health issues as an adult, she found that drinking a daily dosage of a fruit juice high in antioxidant power helped her tremendously. Now that she has recently discovered a superior juice, MonaVie, Kate is driven to help her fellow teachers and students share her experience. As a teacher for the past 10 years, (elementary and middle school) Kate clearly recognizes the difference that nutritious eating can make within the classroom and lives of her students. In addition to starting this new business, Kate's interests include spending time with her family, fishing, quilting, and technology design. She hopes to eventually create support software that teachers can implement into their existing curriculum.

Terra Maney

Terra was born into a long line of schoolteachers. Reading and writing provided both escape from and insight into people and the world. Terra's primary interests include meaningful connections, creative work, and philosophical conversations. Searching for answers (or learning to find the right questions) in the physical realm as well as the spiritual/emotional realm, led Terra on a path to alternative health solutions. After undergoing tests for severe migraines, seizures, and possible brain tumor, Terra refused to take the advice of medical doctors who recommended a highly addictive daily medication without being able to confirm the diagnosis. Terra instead chose to seek alternative treatment at a natural brain research center. This was a lightbulb moment in 1986 as the staff there quickly identified and diagnosed every aspect of the experiences and completely eliminated the experiences with a regime of vitamins and minerals. Since then, Terra has actively sought information in multiple wellness fields finding great success with chiropractors, massage therapists, body aligners, classical homeopathy, and yoga. Terra especially has a passion for advocating for the rights of women to birth naturally and for providing vision and resources for finding natural health solutions. After teaching junior high and high school students for close to 10 years, Terra now loves being a mother and home educator.
